NO WHIT CONCESSION

THE Minister of Transport has this

year refused to extend the period for the part-year licensing of publicservice vehicles to cover the Whitsuntide holidays. This concession has been granted in recent years, but a Ministry spokesman said last week that this was done only when the holiday extended into June. This year the whole of the holiday falls in May.
