South Wales Road Scheme: With the opening. last Saturday, of the new trunk road between Saleyard and Brynmawr, the whole of the first stage of the Heads of the Valleys Road in South Wales is open to traffic. Bulk Storage Expands: Bulk Storage Ltd., Hoe Street, Walthamstow, has recently expanded its service in the London area by acquiring an additional large warehouse at 6/8 The Highway, Wapping, E.I. The new warehouse, with a storage area of 134.000 sq. ft., has full mechanical handling facilities and a central internal loading area.

New Barrow Service Station: Athersrnith Bros., the oldest and largest haulage firm in Barrow, operating some 50 vehicles, opened a new service station last week. This is a "sister" garage to It. W. Symons Ltd., the town's largest garage, which has been controlled by the AtherSinith family since 1954. Work is now in progress on a new headquarters for Athersmith Bros., with garage accommodation for the whole fleet, close to the Barrow town centre.

Top Tray for Travellers: Opened recently by the Blue Boar K group of companies at the group's restaurant site at Watford Gap, Rugby, on MI, Top Tray cafeterias on both north and southbound lanes offer a self-service of freshly-cooked hot meals for travellers in a hurry. The service is provided by Smethursts Foods Ltd., associate of Birds Eye Foods Ltd. In place of the original restaurants. Top Grill waitress service restaurants will be opened at Easter, and existing lorry drivers' café facilities are continued.
