Official List of Entries.

The C.M.U.A. Parade for 1913 promises to exceed in dimensions and support. the record that was made in Coronation year. On that occasion, as may be recalled, there were exceptional conditions to assistand also to hamper-the organizers. The effective nature of the progress that has since been made will, therefore, be recognized. For the first time in the history of these Parades, it is the intention strictly to allocate the prize fund pro rata, with the entries, for payment to drivers of petrol vehicles on the one hand and of steam vehicles on the other hand. In the last few years, although petrol-vehicle entries have predominated, the system of marking led to the awarding of the larger share of the prizes to the steam men. The steam drivers, of course, will not suffer in any way this year, but they will only receive prizes to the extent which bears exactly the same ratio to the total sum as do the steam entries to the total entries. This sub-division only concerns the general prize fund: the special prizes, which are contributed by makers of various vehicles and manufacturers of various supplies, will be divided amongst the drivers who are so employed and designated. We shall continue, in our next two issues, to publish the further lists. it the moment of going to press, the entries have reached the satisfactory total of 333 machines ; also as we indicate in one of our leading articles, there is every probability that additional support in the ordinary classes will be considerable, whilst much advertisement support in the new-vehicle section is anticipated.
