Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LESS THAN a year after it was bought by its own man agement, Silcock Express is expanding its car transport operations in Spain. • The parent company, Silcock Express Holdings which runs Silcock Express in the UK, Auto-Express in France and Toquero-Express in Spain — has expanded the Spanish arm ready for Spain joining the EEC.

It has more than trebled its Spanish transporter fleet from 20 in February of this year, to the present 65.

Toquero-Express's main customers are Seat from Barcelona and Ford, from Valencia, and many of their cars are taken through Auto Express's open terminal at Rivesalee in France for pre-delivery checks.

The i5ni buy-out last August has resulted in more stability, a Silcock Express spokesman told CM. Being a small part of the multinational Sears Holdings, and before that part of the Hertz Corporation, had been more difficult, he said.

In the UK, Silcock Express employs. around 600 people.

The recently-agreed 1985 wage rise for its drivers is roughly in line with inflation. But with bonus and productivity payments drivers can boost their gross earnings to around £20,000, he added.

Silcock Express Holdings had a turnover of nearly £30m in 1984, with a pre-tax profit of £2.5m.
