• Six coach firms have been added to the list of operators approved by the TGWU. The union's "Fair List" is provided for unions and sympathetic bodies who wish to hire coaches only from firms abiding by TGWU conditions.
The six new firms are: Court Line Coaches Ltd, County Coaches, L. Manny Ltd, Radio Coaches Ltd, Lancaster Coaches and Leopard Coaches. One firm, Edward Thomas and Sons, has been removed from the list because it has not carried out an "undertaking that the drivers would be members of the union".
