Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QCAMMELL LORRIES, LTD., have Is-di introduced a device which provides two kingpin positions and can be fitted t-3 Scammell fifth-wheel semi-trailers. The mechanism is said to be foolproof, simple to operate and provides for a kingpin at two alternative positions—giving 2-ft, 6-in. or 3-ft. 6-in, front overhang.

To operate the gear the driver releases a spring-loaded locking device and this

frees the kingpin securing bar. The securing bar can then be pulled out of position and at this stage both kingpins are free. The driver can now select the required position and push the other kingpin out of position, at the same time returning the securing bar which is automatically locked into place and the trailer can be coupled up at the required kingpin position.
