Accounts show that the gross receipts of British Road Services amounted to £62.473,177. compared with expenditure of £63,579;653. Working expenses were made up as follows: Vehicle operating costs, £31,178,774; maintenance and depreciation of vehicles,

£16,234,464; other traffic costs, £5,452,095; maintenance and renewal of structures. £330,170; vehicle licence duties, £1,801,516. general expenses, £8.582,634.
