A The maximum weight limits of vehicles ^ which will enjoy the freedom of operators' licensing are as follows:—

Rigid vehicles 16-ton-gross plated weight. Articulated vehicles, (1) If the trailer is plated. the plated weight of the trailer only should he added to the unladen weight of the tractive unit. The total weight of these two weights should not exceed 16 tons. (2) If the trailer is not plated the unladen weights of the tractive unit and the trailer added together should not exceed. 5 tons. If your vehicles exceed these weights then in addition to requiring an operator's licence the vehicles will still be restricted to the con ditions of their existing A, B. C or Contract A licences.
