Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THIS ISN'T MEANT as either a proor anti-European letter, but there seems to me to be an imbalance in being a member of the EU when it comes to the road transport sector.

When Brussels brings new legislation that seems to restrict or hinder the industry, such as WTD or increases in funding required for 0-licences, it is embraced without so much as a raised eyebrow by the powers that be.

But if an idea that could potentially benefit the industry is implemented in another European country, such as raised weight limits or longer semi-trailers, the idea seems to be either disregarded on principle; or we have to go through some long-winded trial period that delays any benefits to UK hauliers.

Why do we get all the hassle from Europe without any of the potential benefits?
