I JOE-IT CV RENTAL specialist Northgate Vehicle Hire has completed the acquisition of Hampsons Self Drive Hire.
I lampsons will continue as a stand-alone business within the Northgate group; it operates 1,6(1) CVs from nine sites across the UK.
Northgate has also reported a 6.4% increase in turnover to £278.9m with a 16% rise in pre-tax profits to 43.9m in the six months to 31 October.
Despite a restructuring programme,revenuelbr the UK operation remained flat; this is attributed to a static market. Revenue in Spain increased by 20% due to a 17% increase in fleet size and an improving rental market.
Chief executive Steve Smith says trading in the UK and Spain is "in line with expectations-.
