• The RTITB is issuing a second edition of its Employers' Guide booklet explaining how training grants may be claimed.
Claims for training carried out between August 1 and December 31, 1968, will be accepted by the Board from January 1, 1969. The Board expects to pay out in excess of £9m. for training carried out in the first training year, which ended on July 31, 1968.
Within the next few days employers will be receiving levy notices requesting a payment of 0.9 per cent of their total gross payrolls—this will raise approximately £6.5m.
