Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FOUR headlights, arranged in pairs. are distinctive features of the 1958 range of American Ford commercial vehicles. These, and a new-style radiator grille on normal-control models, are the only external evidence of modification to be seen in the new range, but several mechanical changes have been effected.

Engine life has been improved by the use of new crankshafts, pistons, valve., and camshafts, and new carburetters and water pumps have been incorporated. Braking performance is stated to be better now that larger brake units .are fitted to the mediumand heavy-duty models.

Electric windscreen-wiper motors are to be fitted to all models with V-8 engines, except those with air brakes,

which will have air-pressure motors. The Transmatic automatic gearbox has an improved retarder to give better transmission braking at high speeds and a new double-drive bogie has been introduced as optional equipment on the T-700 7-ton chassis to make it suitable for a gross weight of 14.1tons.

Heavy chassis in the range now have their fuel-lift pumps submerged in the fuel tanks: this is said to give better fuel delivery and minimize the risk of vapour locks. Auxiliary tanks, giving up to 120 U.S. gal. capacity, are offered. The 171 b.h.p. V-8 engine, used in the lighter chassis, is up-rated to 181 b.h.p.
