UNSEASONABLY HIGH levels of demand and limited supplies of quality examples have fuelled predictions that used LCV prices will further improve in 2009.
George Alexander, Glass's Guide used CV editor, says: -Any marked upturn in the UK's fiscal fortunes over the rest of the year will provide the opportunity to rebuild business profitability and set the scene for a significantly better 2010."
However, he adds that LCV prices could luctuate in line with the volumes of supply 3n offer.
Clean, late-year CVs are unlikely to be defleeted until firms are prepared to buy :eplacements. In turn, this is unlikely to generate many desirable units entering the market. Clean, low-mileage used vans are attracting the most attention at auctions.
"Until registrations of new units show any increase, there is little to suggest demand for these late-year used vehicles will fall away." says Alexander.
