THE IMPENDING closure c Kings Cross coach station ha caused Southend Corporatio Transport to apply for 12 nei licences to run services t London. It would be the fin municipal operator to run t the capital.
It is determined to keep street terminal in Centri London should Eastern Nati( nal, which currently operat€ the service, succeed in movin to Aldgate.
"Running from Southend t Aldgate would parallel the ra service and take the bus€ away from the lucrative lington area," said a Southen spokesman. "We have applied to tli Traffic Commissioners for I alternative street terminals i London and hope one will accepted," he added.
