BEDFORD has announced £1.74m profit for the first ha of the current financial year compared with a £7.5m loss i the same period last year.
The company reports gross operating profit ( £5,988,000 against £1,325,000 i the first half of 1975.
Sales of both Bedford con mercial vehicles and Vauxha cars were 105,000 units in tt first half of the year, again: 99,769 in the same period la: year.
Company chairman, Mr V R. Price, commented that sal( of Bedford trucks were 6 p( cent up despite a 9 per cent fa in overall truck sales.
