BRITAIN LANDS BIG ORDERS

ORDERS secured in the face of keen competition from the Continent nave been placed with Leyland Motors, Ltd., by Persia, bringing contracts for :hat country now in hand at Leyland to the value of nearly £500,000.

These latest contracts are for 40 Super Hippo six-wheeled goods chassis similar to 60 ordered a few weeks ago. Leyland now have orders for some 150 vehicles for Persia.

TROLLEYBUSES TO GO NAOTORBUSES are to replace trolleyLvi buses on Doncaster Corporation's service between Doncaster and Bentley. The town council last week approved the transport committee's recommendation that tenders be sought for 10 double-deck motorbuses to be used on the route which trolleybuse,s have served since 1928.
