Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Stuart Thomas brings you his regular round-up of the way our local and national press has covered the wonderful world of road transport this week...

First up, Southampton. London's Metro reported the tragic story of Linda West, who accidentally shot her husband dead while gyrating to Twain's hit, Man! I Feel Like a Woman! in a bid to arouse him. Certainly not a subject for mockery or relevant to the pages of Commercial Motor, you might think, but this story follows hot on the heels of some other disturbing news from Canada.

Truck driver Matt Brownlee came a cropper with local coppers for speeding along a busy street in Twain 's home province of Ontario. The 33-year-old later told psychiatrists he believed that none other than Shania Twain was helping him drive, according to online news service Ananova.

A cursory inspection of Lee's truck initially yielded what folk feared most: Twain had escaped the crime scene and was now on the run, a dangerous fugitive in her own country. But psychiatrists were able to shine some more, credible, light on the event — it seems Lee suffers from delusions that female celebrities communicate with him telepathically. He escaped conviction; Twain was not asked to comment.

Back in Blighty, more truck trouble. An 18ft male giraffe ripped through the canvas covering a trailer in which it was being moved in Wiltshire, which attracted amateur photographers keen to snap the long-legged ungulate. BBC News reported it was en route from Long leat Safari Park and had awoken a tad early from its sedation.

To be fair, Twain is not top of the list of suspects here, but ask yourselves this — have you ever seen a giraffe and Shania in the same room? Think on...
