• Exel Logistics has won a six-year contract to operate ri European distribution centre based in Strasbourg For Roche Diagnostic Systems, the F Hoffmann-La Roche subsidiary.
• Jacobs, the transport and property group, has won a five-year contract from the Rover group to develop and run a 22-acre distribution centre for Land Rover at Hams Hall, near Birmingham.
• Welsh-based John Raymond Transport has won a multi-million pound deal to transport building insulation material for Rockwool throughout the UK. The contract will involve 75 of the firm's Bridgend-based trucks.
• Vauxhall is using 76 Scania tractive units on an intensive supply operation for the company's Luton and Ellesmere Port plants. The trucks have been supplied by the Milton Keynes distributor City Trucks.
