Ready to go

• West German transport company Kiihne and Nagel has been identified as the company best prepared for the post-1992 Single European Market, in a survey of all industry sectors by management consultants Roland Berger.

Thinking big

• NFC has lodged Britain's biggest planning application. It has asked Camden Borough Council for permission to develop 134 acres of largely derelict land behind Kings Cross Station with homes, offices, restaurants, shops, and a 26-acre park — at a cost of £2 billion.

Strap Survey

• In our issue of 23-29 March we published a feature on loading straps which included a reference to a strap produced by John M Carter Limited of Basingstoke, Hampshire. We have been asked to point out that there is no connection between John M Carter Limited of Basingstoke, Hampshire and J & J Carter Limited of Cornfield House, East Stratton, Hampshire, or the latter's proprietor, Mr John Morton Carter of that address. No tests were carried out on straps manufactured or sold by & J Carter Limited.
