• Cardiff council workers have won a 215.5-million contract from the council to clear up the city's litter — but at the cost of 75 jobs.
The tender still needs approval from the full city council on 26 April but officials predict the deal, will save ratepayers more than 2750,000 in the first financial year.
The 58 existing vehicles will remain in council ownership and 160 council employees will work under the new contract,
