• Major sewer works at Alton in Hampshire are scheduled to start on 2 May for three weeks. During that time vehicles exceeding two metres (6'6") will be barred from entering the High Street. The only exemptions will apply to buses and wide-sided delivery vehicles. Drivers are advised to follow the A31 bypass and use alternative routes.
LINKING BENELUX • There is now a complete fast link between Belgium and Luxembourg as the final section of the E411 linking Brussels and Luxembourg has been opened. There are three service stations on the new motorway.
CASH ONLY AT MMUS • The Frejus Tunnel will not accept credit cards, only French and Italian currency, contrary to a previous report in Commercial Motor. Frejus is planning to introduce a credit card system some time next year, however.
