Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE last seven trolleybus routes in London, all in the south-west, are to be converted to bus operation on May 9 under the fourteenth and final stage of London Transport's conversion scheme. Ninety-one trolleybuses are involved in this last stage and the routes concerned cover 33.15 miles.

Since 1958, when London Transport had 1,536 trolleybuses operating over routes totalling 254 'miles, the conversion has been continuing steadily.

The final stage will bring the introduction of five new bus routes and the extension of four others. All the new routes, and all but one of the extended services (route 116), will have Routemaster buses.
