Guy's 'Poster Competition : Presentation of the Prize.

The presentation of the Guy 1-ton chassis, which was the prize offered by Guy Motors, Ltd., in connection with their poster competition during last year, took place at the works of the company in Wolverhampton recently. The vehicle was, as we have

already -mentioned in our columns, won by R. Crisp, Ltd., of Downton, Salisbury, and the vehicle was presented to Mi.. Crisp by Mr. Batten, president of the Motor Agents' Association.

Mr.. Gay took the opportunity of making some Pointed observations on the apparent lack of interest displayed by many motor agents in this country in the development of commercial Vehicle .sales. He said that from his experience be had always found it advisable to have agency representation, and added that that was the most economical and satisfactory wayof dealing with prospective buyers and of giving aftersales service.

Mr. Batten supported the view of Mr. Guy, but added that he felt sure that there would be a general awakening of interest by agents who would give more attention to commercial requirements.
