This issue had to be sent to press early. on account of the Easter vacation ; we are, therefore, unable to include the usual weekly table of traffic returns.

The third annual staff dinner of the L.G.O. Co., Ltd., will be held at the Holborn Restaurant; in the King's Hall, on Saturday, the 22nd April. Mr. Henry Hicks will, we trust, be in the chair.

South Coast Services.

The fifth annual report and accounts of the London and South Coast Motor Service, Ltd., which were presented on the last day of March at the annual general meeting at Caxton Hall, Westminster, revealed a net profit for the year ending 21st December, 1910, of .22,247. The corresponding figure for last year was 11,740. Some criticism was made, at the meeting, of the policy of the directors in not placing anything towards the depreciation of the machines. The chairman stated that in his opinion this was not necessary owing to the large amount which was allocated for maintenance and upkeep.

For Farnborough District.

The Bromley Traders Association has subscribed sufficient capital to purchase a single decker motorbus for service in the neighbourhood.

An Albion Service in the Midlands.

We have already recorded the inauguration of a new motorbus service between Wolverhampton and Kingswinford ; Mr. C. L. Wells, of 37, Midland Chambers, New Street, Birmingham, who is responsible for this enterprise, now favours us with further particulars of the machines and their work. Two Albion chars -banes are are at present being employed. The chassis are fitted with 18-seated bodies, which were built by W. Smith, of Carter's Green, West Bromwich. On three days of the week, a special service is run through Wall Heath to Halbach, a place that is renowned for the fact that Guy Fawkes was eventually captured there. This special service then continues to Himley and past the well-known Baggera,ge coal mine as far as Womburn. This circular trip is already proving very popular on Sunday mornings.

The new service, during the first three weeks of its operation was maintained by one Albion which was putting up a mileage of 550 per week. The time schedule was.. maintained without a single fault_ LlandafT inconvenienced.

A deputation representing the inhabitants of Llandaff has requested the local district council to endeavour to secure the establishment c,f a ]notorbus service between their town, which has a population of 4,000, and Cardiff. Further consideration of the matter is to bedeferred until offers are received from parties who would be willing to run the service.
