international Road Congress 1913.—The invitation of Sir George Gibb, Chairman of the Road Board, to appoint delegates to attend a meeting to be held in May in connection with the organization of the ar• rangeinents for the Third International Road Congress, was accepted, and Capt. R. K. Bagnall-Wild, Messrs. W. G. Lobjoit and E. Shrapnell Smith were appointed to represent the Association.

Cab-Rank Telephone,—Mr. H. Lyon Thomson suggested that, in view of the success of the trial telephone set fixed by the Association to an electric-light standard alongside a cab-rank at Melbury Road, RensinFton, that the Association should take into consideration the installation of cab-rank telephones at other positions in London. He suggested that one be put up immediately at Marble Arch, and that the residents in the neighbourhood should be invited to subscribe a small sum per annum towards the cost. Resolved that steps be taken.

Coronation Motor Parade.—The following contributions to the Prize Fund were reported:— Taration.—Mr. John C. Mitchell reported the result of the conference of the C.M.U.A. and S.M.M.T. in relation to asking for the abolition of the petrol tax on rubber-tired commercial-motor vehicles. As a result, the following resolution had been passed at the conference on taxation, for submission to the Chancellor of the Exchequer:--" That in respect of commercial-motor vehicles using tires made of resilient material, the petrol should be entirely withdrawn." Manchester Corporation (Street Traftic) 7327/.----The Chairman reported the steps that had been taken by the C.M.T.J. A. with a view to opposing a clause in the Manchester Corporation (Street Traffic) Bill, which gives power to prescribe the routes to be taken by all vehicles in Manchester, and power to prohibit the passing of all vehicles into or along any street. An initial vote of 225 was approved. New Members. The enrolment of 20 new members was reported.
