Keywords :

CEVERAL important bus companies ..../are experimenting with vehicles carrying large standing loads. Among them is the South Wales Transport Co., Ltd., which has adapted an A.E.C. Regal from a 35-seater to a 29-seater with accommodation for 23 standing passengers.

The vehicle was inspected, last week, by Mr. H. J. Thom, South Wales Licensing Authority. The design has been approved and the vehicle is to be used to deal with Llanelly docks traffic. Some of the bridges in the area are too low even for a normal single-decker, consequently double-deckers cannot be employed.
