Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Up to 60% of motorists would happily support further blockades of the oil refineries by hauliers, according to new survey.

More than 500 car drivers were questioned for thr survey by motor insurance company Longford Insuranci Schemes (US).

Support for renewed action is strongest in the Nortl East, where 81% of respondents said they would be happy ti see farmers and hauliers resume the action that resulted ii fuel supplies drying up. However, in the West Country only 410/1 of drivers supported future disruption of fuel supplies.

A spokesman for LIS says: "This survey shows motorist; are beeping a very loud warning to Chancellor Cordon Brown If he ignores it, it's likely the car vote will flatten Labour': majority at the next election."

• The environmental campaign group Greenpeace say; Britain needs HIGHER fuel prices and promises to take tha message out to any future blockades.
