• The licence for five vehicles and five trailers held by Jones Plant, of Derby, was revoked 1 when the company failed to appear at a Manchester disciplinary inquiry before North Western Licensing Authority Martin Albu.
The LA said that the licence had been issued in January. There was a subsequent maintenance investigation. No maintenance records were available and the company was not using the nominated maintenance contractor. The company was called to an in-chambers hearing and failed to turn up. A number of attempts were subsequently made to contact the company without success and he could only assume that it was no longer operating.
