Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Licence reduction

II West Ruislip-based Hards Transport's licence has been cut to 11 vehicles and two trailers at an Eastbourne disciplinary inquiry.

Unauthorised use

• Maintenance problems and the unauthorised use of both vehicles and an operating centre have led to the revocation of the licence held by Carlton Johnston, trading as Suffolk & Norfolk Freight, of Beccles Road, Barnby, Beccles.

Wings clipped

• Convictions have led the licence held by Lionel Gale, trading as Eagle Transport, of Whittlesey, Peterborough, being cut to two vehicles. And the licence was cut at a Cambridge public inquiry to expire at the end of February.

Oliver absent

• The licence held by Penrithbased Ian Oliver was suspended when he failed to attend a Manchester disciplinary inquiry: Oliver was called before North Western LA Martin Albu after two immediate prohibitions and a failure to notify two convictions to the Traffic Area Office.

Seal missing

• Grantham-based Pheasant Wrigleys Transport has been fined £240 by Newmarket magistrates for using a vehicle with an unsealed tachograph. An allegation that the company had also used a vehicle in a dangerous condition was dropped by the prosecution.
