• A special warehouse for the storage of hazardous goods under bond is to be opened in Liverpool early next year.
The first of its kind in the North West, he new warehouse will be situated opposite North Brocklebank Dock, close to Miller's Bridge, Bootle, and will eventually become oart of six warehouses run by Alamford Ltd. It will be equipped to handle highly inflamnable liquids, toxic chemicals and paint, xtrol additives and other constituents which nake up synthetic plastics. For safety easons the warehouse will be fitted with ion-spark lighting, modern fire extinguishing Nuipment and fork-lift trucks and other iandling equipment will be covered with ubber clamps to cut down the risk of fiction.
