Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

February 28 last. At that date there were 1,071,700 goods vehicles licensed, compared with 1,002,600 a year earlier.

They consisted of 20,700 electrics, 38,800 vehicles used by farmers, 700 by showmen, 2,700 by local authorities for watering, and 1,008,800 .other goods vehicles.

There were 93,300 hackneys, compared with 97,500 in February, 1955. Trams accounted for 2,000; other hackneys with not more than eight seats for 20,700, and vehicles with more than eight seats for 70,600.

ALL ABOUT THE MOTOR SHOW

ALL phases of the Motor Show to be held at Earls Court, London, from October 17-27 will be covered in three special issues of our associated journal, The Motor.

A complete technical review of the Show will be published on October 24. That issue will carry also a comprehensive summary of all cars tested by The Motor during the previous 12 months.

NEW CHLORIDE DEPOT

A MODERN battery supply and I-1 service depot has been opened by Chloride Batteries, Ltd., at West Bromwich, Staffs. The company's Midland headquarters have been transferred there from Dale Bud.
