• As in previous years, arrangements have been made for a control room to operate at County Hall, Wakefield, when snowclearing operations are in progress in the West Riding and, in the event of conditions being particularly severe, it will be manned on a 24-hour basis.
Information concerning road conditions prevailing in the Riding during emergency snow periods may be obtained from the control room, telephone Wakefield 75234, extension 250 or 448 (Wakefield 72763/4 after office hours).
