Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

rile specialist trailers division of ourtburn Positioners, a member A the Bedfordia group, has innounced that the range of railers marketed by the nrripany has been extended by he introduction of a series of Found-level-loading and fixedleight low-loading trailers, :nown as the Easiload.

The vehicles comprise nine ;round-level-loading and five ixed-height low-loading trailers. Ehey are designed and manufacured by SIB Trailers (UK) Ltd. Ehe smallest trailer in the series las a payload capacity of I 322kg 126cwt) while the :apacity of the heaviest trailer is 10,160kg (10 tons). All the ;round-level models incorporate ilatforms which are lowered and aised hydraulically.

The hydraulic system incor;orates an open /close valve vhich is used to control the peed of descent as well as fting and lowering operations. 'ositive mechanical locks are itted as standard and secure the railer in the raised travelling losition. No load is carried by he hydraulic system while the railer is travelling and failure of ny part of the system cannot esult in the platform dropping in to the ground.

On trailers up to 3556kg 13.5 ons) gross weight, the fail-safe iverrun brakes are operated by a separate cable attached to the towing vehicle at a point adjacent to the tow jaw. On the large models, the third air line of the standard three-line air brake system performs the same function. Suspension is of the fully independent type.

Four-wheeled models are available with an adjustableheight tow bar to suit tow height variations of approximately 500mm — 1000mm (20 -40in.) which permits the trailer platform to be lowered to the ground while it is attached to the towing vehicle. It also allows the trailer to be used with towing vehicles having different tow jaw heights and provides a measure of control over the imposed load on the trailer drawbar.

The five fixed-height lowloading trailers in the Easiload range can carry payloads of 1322kg (26cwt) to 10,160kg 110 tons) and incorporate many of the standard features of the ground-level Easiloads.
