A CONTRACT for 96 rear-engined ri• double-deck buses placed by Mans thester Cit!, Transport has been split qually between Daimler and Leyland, who are to supply 48 Fleetlines and 18 Atlaincans respectively. All 96 will se fitted with 78-seat bodies by Park Royal Vehicles Ltd. and will employ a lumber of features new to the under.

Not least of these will be the livery, which ssill be red up to the top of the lower saloon windows and cream above, with a red roof: a strip of cream may also he applied to the skirt panels. Manchester buses are at present painted all red apart from a narrow cream band above I he lower saloon windows.
