Ltd., has been elected first chairman of the newly formed Yorkshire division of the Traders Road Transport Association. Mr. Chamberlain is also chairman of the Leeds and West Riding area committee of the TATA. The appointment arises from the merging of three former divisions in Yorkshire. Vicechairmen of the Yorkshire division are Mr. W. E. Gunstone, chairman of. the Association's Sheffield and South Yorkshire area, and Mr. H. W. Stark, chairman of the Hull and East Riding area.

Mr. Alexander Ross, chairman of United Dominions Trust Ltd., has agreed to be nominated as the next president of The Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund (BEN) in succession to Mr. H. G. Henly. The election of the president will take place at the Council meeting following the a.g.m. next March.

Mr. R. A. Wright, chief production executive of The Skefko Ball Bearing Co. Ltd., of Luton, retired at the end of October after 36 years' service.

Mr. John Guttridge has been appointed Press and publicity officer of the Traders Road Transport Association to replace Mr. R. Crew, who left the Association to take tip another appointment during October. ,Mr. Guttridge, who will take up his duty at the end of this month, )s" at present assistant editor of Commercial Vehicles and Commercial Vehicles International and was previously on the staff of Motor Transport.
