AN OPERATOR WHO falsified maintenance documents and then attempted to blame his transport consultant has been disqualified and had his licence revoked.

Senior Traffic Commissioner Philip Brown (pictured right) says John Coyle was "clearly involved in the production of documents which are false and which give the impression that maintenance work since 2002 has been carried out on behalf of the operator by Kelly Transport of Watford, a company that does not appear to have existed."

The Metropolitan Police had received information suggesting Coyle's Uxbridge haulage company, J Coyle Haulage, was using falsified documents that named Kelly Transport and J CaHarlan Repairs and Services as the maintenance contractors.

Coyle told the TC he used a transport consultant called John Plum, who, the TC confirmed, has a string of convictions that related to falsifying documents, bank accounts and CPCs, and who had altered the contract without his knowledge.

However. Brown said CoyIc's evidence was not credible and that he had failed to notify his office of any changes to his maintenance arrangements.

He added: "I find Mr Coyle has not been wholly truthful, and I have determined that he
