• A lorry driver was lucky not to be shot last week when he drove into the security gates at Buckingham Palace screaming. "I have seen the light!" The 33year-old driver from West Bromwich was at the wheel of a Leyland Daf owned by Birmingham-based Arena Cable Management Systems.
Buckingham Palace security says: "If he had got any further he would have been shot."
