ATEST statistics issued by the IRU show that the three Dutch road haulage associations (NOB, KNVTO and EVO) were issued by IRU in 1964 with a total of 47,300 carnets, the largest amount received by any of the 18 associations in the Tilt scheme. A close secona was the French association, which received 42,000 carnets. The British associations were towards the bottom of the league table. the RHA taking 1,050 and the TRTA 300. Other small users were Norway (600) and Spain (220). For the whole year a total of 224,470 carnets were issued by IRU, compared with 169,675 in 1963, an increase of around 33 per cent. It is interesting to note that far more 14-volet carnets were issued than the smaller 6-volet type147,725 compared with 76,745.
