FROZEN AND FRESH goods haulier Edgley Distribution Express has shut down after falling into receivership.

The decision meant 35 staff were made redundant at the Norfolk lirm on 30 May. According to its last set of abbreviated accounts, for the period ending 31 December 2006, the company owed consulting business Wakefield Consultants £800,000, as well as £200,000 in management charges.

Its fixed assets were worth .C754,000. For the King's Lynn firm, Laura Stringer says its assets are in the.process of being sold.
