Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

For the past 12 months, CM has followed the ups and downs of seven trucks, from seven manufacturers, as they try to earn money for seven selected operators.

Words: Kevin Swallow / Images: Tom Cunningham, Simon Everett and Andy Forman Plenty of water has passed under the bridge in the 12 months since we started following seven trucks from first registration to bitting the road to start getting the job done.

What has become apparent is that operators have high standards when it comes to delivering the goods. Reliability, fuel economy, and ease of operations stand out and headaches aren't tolerated.

Build quality too has improved, with no major components requiring replacement, but teething problems remain; electrics seemingly stand out over specifics.

No-one likes to admit they made a mistake and each of the seven operators have been positive in their assessments of the vehicles they purchased. Fuel and AdBlue use, where applicable, met expected targets. When it came to the latter, all reported fear of its arrival before admitting that it turned out to be a storm in a tea cup. •
