AFEATURE of 17 Alexander-bodied Leyland Atlanteans on order for the Gateshead and District Omnibus Co. Ltd. will be one-piece wrap-round windscreens. Similar windscreens are fitted to the latest Atlanteans employed by Newcastle City Transport, many of them on joint services with Gateshead and District. Wrap-round .windscreens will also be fitted to two Alexander-bodied Atlanteans and seven Alexander-bodied Fleetlines on order for Gateshead's associated companies in the N.G.T. group, the Tyneside Tramways and Trantroads Co. and the Tynemouth and District Transport Co. Ltd. respectively.
