A NEW develop ment announced by Weeks and Co. (Engineers) Ltd.. Oxford Street, Wincolmlee, Hull, is a 12-ton-capacity singleaxle semi-trailer with fifth-wheel coupling. An example is illustrated on the right, and one is to be exhibited by Weeks at the Royal Show at Stoneleigh on July 7-10. Standard dimensions are 24 ft. long by 7 ft. 6 in. wide and a special feature of the design is the flooring to the platform, which is called Weeks Crossfloor. This is made of pressed-steel sections laid transversely and set at 8-in, pitch into the pre-slotted box-section frame (15 in. deep by 3 in. wide) and welded to form an integral unit.
