LWAN COOK (HOLDINGS) LTD., 1-4 Peckham, and the Joseph Constantine Steamship Line Ltd. have announced that negotiations have been concluded for the merging of their interests.
Mr. George Evan Cook, after many years of valuable service, has retired from the chairmanship, but will remain with the company as consultant director. Mr. John Evan-Cook, has been appointed chairman in his place and will remain as managing director. Mr. P. S. Andrews has been appointed general manager and deputy managing director, and Mr. R. L. Constantine, Mr. D. M. Constantine and Mr. F. Raine have joined the board.
The announcement maintains that the inclusion of the old-established firm of Evan Cook in the Constantine Group will further extend the existing range of specialized packing, storage, forwarding and shipping facilities. Already within the group are Neale and Wilkinson Ltd., shipping agents, London, who are members of the British Association of Overseas Furniture Removers.
