II Coca-Cola Enterprises has rdered 25 Mercedes-Benz tego 21-tonners to join 27 simi
lar vehicles already in its RDCbased urban delivery fleet.
The 6x2 rigids are based on the 15-tonne Atego 1523 with the addition of a factory-approved rear-steer axle conversion from Integrated Chassis Engineering of Bolton. They have 7.7m bodies and heavy-duty tail-lifts and are being supplied on a six-year contract-hire package through Charterwa,y.
