Like its smaller family member, the TA axle offers low or even zero maintenance features, providing the option of cartridge bearing technology, with the choice of Mentor disc or drum brakes, for trouble free 7 year or 1 million km guaranteed operation.
The new TA axle with truck compatible 22.5-inch Mentor D DUCO air disc brake, is extremely tough and hard wearing, for capacities up to 12 tonne in twin or single wheel form. When coupled with Mentor air suspension, this combination not only delivers excellent ride and handling but reduces tyre wear and payload damage, with options of dual side mounted or central axle lift. Air disc brakes are superior in every respect reduced fade, improved stability and shorter stopping distances. Disc pads typically last twice as long as drum shoes, and can be fitted in half the time.
