THE British Railways Board has signed a long-term contract' with Mobil Oil for the movement of large consignments

of oil by block trains. Other similar contracts signed earlier this year included Petrofina (Gt. Britain) Ltd. and Gulf Oil (Gt. Britain) Ltd.

Under this contract, Mobil Oil has agreed to put on rail for at least 10 years a growing annual tonnage of oil products. These will be carried in new high-speed tankers specially built for the company.
