Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The night the Fair ended Mr. Adshead drove on to the country hotel at Gyor where a booking had been made and the next day reported to the Hungarian frontier at Rajka. Here the amount demanded in local currency for the various changes was beyond his immediate means so that it was necessary to return 25 miles to a bank. Delays then ensued for although the bank held scores of specimens of travellers' cheques none was of precisely the same design as those carried by Mr. Adshead. However, the cash was obtained in the end.

There was no occasion to stop in Czechoslovakia and steady progress was made over good but generally narrow roads to Befoves, the frontier post for the crossing into Poland. They reached Glatz at 1.30 a.m., the police there showing them where to park the vehicle and promising to watch over it during the night. The next day saw their arrival at Poznan for a 12-day stay. Then followed a two-day run through East Germany to the West, terminating at Frankfurt-am-Main where there was an eight-day stop-over prior to returning along the autobahn and the Berlin corridor to Poznan to collect certain equipment. The last lap, which occupied five days, took in Slubize on the Polish border, Frankfurt-am-Oder, Hanover, Frankfurt-am-Main, and Antwerp, Tilbury being reached on June 30.

During the trip fuel prices naturally varied considerably but the overall average appears to have been approximately 4s. 6d per gallon. Before leaving, Molyslip was used in the engine, gearbox and rear axle. A gallon can of lubricant was carried but only half of this was actually used.
