Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TIMED on a Dennis Lancet chassis, I-, a vehicle has been completed by James Whitson and Co., Ltd., High Street, Yiewsley, Middx., for the Building Research Station of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research for service as a mobile laboratory. It has been equipped for use when the sound-insulation and acoustic properties of buildings have to he measured.

In the cab there is a bench seat for two passengers in addition to the driver, and appointments include a Smiths heater, a Tudor windscreen washer and an Auster sun vizor.

Behind the cab is a compartment with a sink on the near side, and.a desk on the off side. In the roof is a circular aperture which is normally covered by a flat piece of Perspex but over which may be placed a Perspex dome, The station sometimes has to measure the amount of noise created by aircraft, and the dome affords visibility for an operator.

At-the rear is a large compartment accommodating instruments and other equipment. It is generously glazed and there are blinds to each window. A hinged door at the rear gives access to the body, and in addition to the cab doors, there is a Dean's jack-knife door on the near side of the central compartment. • The bodywork is of composite construction, with a light-alloy exterior and hardboard lining inside. The roof is insulated with Rocksil and the floor is heated by electrical elements. The vehicle has Michelin Metallic tyres, with single tyres at the rear.
