THE BATTLE FOR the increasingly competitive pickup market is set to intensify with the launch of Mitsubishi's revamped L200.
The major criticisms of the outgoing model — an elderly engine with a matching appetite for maintenance — will be answered by a 2.5-litre Euro-4 common-rail unit developing 134hp with a 160hp option. Service intervals will be extended to 20,000km.
Styling features are to include eliminating the usually obvious joint between the cab and load box.
A full range from the 4Work to a new Elegance model will go on sale on I March priced between £12249 and f:19.999 (ex-VAT).
