Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LINCOLNSHIRE POLICE are hunting a man who left a truck driver needing hospital care for burns after hurling acid in his face.

The incident happened between Opm and 7pm last Tuesday (3 February) on the A15. Driver Sam Bingham was travelling along the road, when he noticed a car behind him flashing his lights so he pulled over at the junction with the B1205. As he was inspecting his truck for an obvious fault, the car behind pulled up alongside him, partially blocking the road.

The car driver approached him and threw the contents of a jar, believed to be a type of acid, over the truck driver, before he jumped back into his car and sped off towards Kirton in Lindsey.

The 39-year-old driver felt a burning sensation to his hands and face, and called an ambulance. He was then taken to Scunthorpe hospital and later released after treatment for burns.

A Lincolnshire police spokesman says: "We are investigating whether anyone had a grudge against the driver but so far this appears to be a motiveless attack. A number of cars passed by as this incident was taking place and some were flashing their lights at the offender's vehicle, which was partially blocking the road. After the attack the victim was also stripping off his contaminated clothing and 'dancing' about in the road due to his pain. We have now sent the pot found at the scene away for forensic examinations.

"We would particularly like to interview these motorists as they may have seen something significant like the make of the offender's vehicle, or a number."
